Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) is a private graduate school located in North Chicago, Illinois, USA. First and foremost, I must apologise for this post - there is not much information available about the Medical College of Georgia online. Apart from their main website, which was unaccessible to me on many occasions (which suggests that they may need improvements in that area), Medical College of Georgia materials available freely online are few. As such, I will quickly give a brief overview of the university and cover a few of the standard main points about it, and then go on to the next university evaluation, which is normally much better and more worthy of consideration. I apologise for this post, and all information is from either peer reviewed sources or from Wikipedia, compiled from the main site from the Medical College of Georgia. The Medical College of Georgia is also known as MCG and is a public medical university located in Georgia, in the USA. MCG is the state's only health sciences and health industry university, and therefore is the local monopoly there, offering both online courses as well as physical campus courses, of course. The main bulk of the Medical College of Georgia's offerings are physical campus degrees and there seems to be only a few online courses available, so that might be a major consideration for students who intend to only get their degrees online. This means that the Medical College of Georgia is a good university but not good for online degrees.
The university is one of the best in terms of America's best hospitals and one of the better hospital/ healthcare/ occupational and physical therapy and research places. There are definitely many accolades for the physical campus degrees offered at the Medical College of Georgia, and there are no known issues and no known controversies surrounding the Medical College of Georgia. In 2004 and 2005, the Medical College of Georgia won many other awards, such as resuming education awards for human resource management and National Research Corp's 2005 Consumer Choice Awards - in other words, this is a great university.

Every aspect of healthcare and medicine and medical studies is covered here at the Medical College of Georgia - every aspect is covered here indeed, from dentistry to nursing to medicine. In other words, the Medical College of Georgia is basically a comprehensive and complete medical school for both applied medicine, research and all other allied medical fields and allied related fields as well.
One might also note that the Medical College of Georgia is very good for research and branching out into several fields.

As I apologised for earlier, this information is not freely found online (correct as at early 2009), as I have checked the sites and all other related sites and found most sites useless or ineffectual in giving this information. I would say that the standard loans and standard US grants and such and such still apply, but unlike other analyses I cannot say that with certainty. More research has to be done in this field, and perhaps when I have completed with the other universities, I will write on this topic again. Sorry!
Why you should study there and my other personal opinions and recommendations
Clearly the Medical College of Georgia is an excellent medical school. Clearly the students there at the physical campus are clever and motivated students. Clearly one who lives near there and wishes to gain a first class education and a top degree should study there. Their academic track record suggests that.
However, for an online degree, the Medical College of Georgia does very badly - insufficient information for the researcher is provided (me, namely), and most of the information is not freely available. In addition, as I understand it, not all the degrees are offered. Some are offered only for physical campuses, and some are limited to online degrees, and some have to be applied to online.

However, recently I have been doing research into universities for masters programmes, because I feel that I may want to personally get a masters sometime in the future. And so, it came to pass that I looked at Oxford University, among many other famous, established universities, and decided that since I evaluated it for myself, I should also share it and evaluate it for my readers or for those who may be interested in studying in England at Oxford University. First up - Oxford University is not a single place; it is collegiate university system meaning that there are many colleges here at Oxford University.
Well, it would be simply easy to say the obvious about Oxford University - this is one of the oldest, most established universities in the world, boasting an incredible reputation for academics, with very famous buildings and very famous people having visited and studied there as well. Oxford University is based in the UK in England, and has many colleges - as I said, it's a collegiate system where the university is made up of many colleges rather than a single university.

I was looking to study there full time, but since this is an online degrees blog, the question is - does Oxford University have online degrees or distance learning programmes? It certainly does offer physical campus degrees and normal degrees as most universities do.
And the answer is yes - Oxford University offers short online courses, longer online courses, and professional online courses. It also offers distance learning programmes. However, more information is only available on the Oxford University website and usually by request or by contacting the Oxford University people.
Which courses are offered at Oxford University
For short, long online courses and professional online courses, there is little information freely available, so do contact Oxford University personnel if you are interested in studying for a certificate programme there, via distance or online learning.
Apart from that hitch, Oxford University offers one of the best and biggest subject combinations in the world.

There are too many courses to be listed here, but the range is basically - incredible, extensive and very wide ranging from Accelerator Science to Astrophysics.
I had wanted to do either PPE (Politics, Philosophy, Economics) or Economics at Oxford University, and now I have considered applying for a masters programmes (MPhil) for Oxford University economics programme. Oxford University's reputation for research and education is quite legendary, although do be warned that many other universities with smaller reputations may be as soon or even better, just that the reputation is not there.
Finance and other important matters here at Oxford University
Scholarships, loans and aid are available, but this is unlike the USA, and hence there are no US government assistance programmes available, and certainly no US veterans or US soldiers, army personnel, etc aid available for US military personnel. In addition, Oxford University probably takes care of British citizens in terms of finance more than it does Americans or international students.
Nonetheless, scholarships, loans and aid are available for outstanding international students of all countries and nationalities.
Why you should study at Oxford University and my own personal recommendations
I think this question of mine - a very standard question - can be waived for Oxford University. Its reputation and fame are enough. I would say that more research is needed in terms of online degrees and online programmes here at Oxford University, but if you wish to study at any of the physical colleges there at Oxford University, right at the heart of England in a physical campus, that would be an excellent investment.

However, for those not considering online degrees and bachelors, associate and diploma certification, then ECPI College of Technology is not the place you would want to be.
All in all, ECPI College of Technology is a very good university for IT, computer and software development, and also for continuing education in the technology sector. I would recommend ECPI College of Technology for its online degrees if you want or need an IT degree from a reputed and good college.
