I have looked at many different universities in the course of researching materials for my university site here, where I evaluate universities. And so it was with a little surprise that I came across a phrase that I needed to check out - proprietary college. As it turns out, that technical term just means that the college in question is for-profit, but for-profit in the sense that it is run by business interests who are owners or investors rather than government officials or by boards. Bryant and Stratton college is such a proprietary college. It actually started life not as a university but as a business institute to provide workplace education. Bryant and Stratton college is now an official university that grants degrees, and is accredited. There are currently no known major controversies surrounding Bryant and Stratton college, even though many other colleges that are run for-profit or run as proprietary colleges are known to have some controversies, according to Wikipedia. Bryant and Stratton college is apparently one of the better run colleges and has no problems.
Bryant and Stratton college has many campuses in the USA, in particular in New York, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Within each place there are many other campuses and many physical sites where the colleges are located. In addition, Bryant and Stratton college has the Bryant and Stratton Online site, which is their internet portal for online degrees and online education.

you can earn more money with their degrees and professional certifications; there is a lot of flexibility; Bryant and Stratton Online has the best experience, in terms of the IT fields and business; there is an easy learning format that helps you study and achieve the best that you can possibly be; there are good academic advisors who will help you through your online degree each step of the way; there will be active learning with real world and real life experiences, thanks to the career focused format, and many other usual good reasons why one might consider an online education. These reasons may persuade you to study there depending on your needs and your requirements. I would think that IT might be a key reason for studying for a degree with Bryant and Stratton Online degrees, as IT is one of the major fields that they do.
I would say that more research is required, and Bryant and Stratton Online is quite a viable choice for associate degrees and bachelors degrees, but is clearly out of the running for masters and doctorates. As for certificate programmes, I think that this is one of the better universities, so it might be worth a long hard look. Bryant and Stratton has no known problems and no known controversies, so at least that does not pose a problem. Overall, I would say that Bryant and Stratton Online is fine, and might be worth your time and effort, cheers!

The nursing courses and programmes at all levels are excellent and very well reviewed around the world and especially in the USA. Standards are high and the quality is good. Thomas Edison State College is an investment in yourself and not in the college, because it is good for education and value for money. All in all, this is a good university and I strongly recommend it for masters programmes due to the academic rigour and quality; and nursing because it is accredited, excellent, and a better way to pursue an outstanding nursing education. Thomas Edison State College is a great college overall, although more research should be done before commencing on any good investments as well. Cheers!

Northcentral University is an accredited purely online university based in Arizona in the USA. Northcentral University was founded and meant to be an entirely online university offering online degrees, although it has a suburban and urban campus, not meant for permanent and full time students. (Not that I know of, actually.) Northcentral University offered business administration and psychology courses initially, and then expanded to offer more interesting and diverse interests and courses and programmes, all online degrees.
Northcentral University is accredited, but according to Wikipedia in 2008 Northcentral University is not ranked according to the US NEWS report and is not included or mentioned among the top undergraduate online universities, as compiled by the Online Education Database (Wikipedia). Northcentral University is nevertheless mainly an online university and even though it may not be considered a major player giving online degrees, it is still worth time and effort considering it in competition with other universities anyways.
Which courses are offered at Northcentral University
First it should be noted that there are many positive and good reviews about Northcentral University's Business Administration and MBA programmes. Overall the courses are perceived to be interesting, engaging, relevant and useful, although there are occasional course problems and support problems for various subjects. More research should be done into this area if you are interested in Northcentral University for Business Adminstration and MBAs.
Secondly, as Northcentral University is an accredited online university, it offers bachelors degrees, masters degrees, MBAs, and doctorates (PhDs), all online degrees. That means that it caters to all students and all needs and wishes of Northcentral University students.

Well, payment is rather convenient and systematic, there are many good loan opportunities and work and earn opportunities, and this Northcentral University has no known controversies and problems. eCornell is established and owned by Cornell University and has one of the best professional, executive and business online programmes in the United States. The online interface of their website is impressive, as well as the technological advantage and ease of use of their eCornell services. It seems to me that Cornell University's eCornell system has made online learning incredibly efficient because of its one stop solution that offers both management and executive development courses for individuals as well as coroporate training and education programmes. That is, on the one hand you can have good, extensive and professional online training in Leadership and Strategic Management, Financial Management, Management Essentials, Human Resources, and Hospitality and Food services Management. On the other hand, eCornell also offers corporate programmes for middle management, directors, staff and other high potential candidates for senior appointments, all online and from the website interface. This two prong approach has made Cornell University a very smart market place competitor and its courses are in relatively high demand in online learning.
The various programmes have many courses and you can achieve one of many different certificates upon completing the course, for instance, Human Resources is a programme, but you can choose to enrol for Benefits and Compensation and get a certificate, or Human Resources studies and get a certificate in that instead, or Systems and Processes in HR and get a certificate in that one instead. As you can see from my various posts and my various evaluations here on this university blog, there are many different universities offering different strengths. For a business oriented, executive oriented or even management type course, Cornell University and its subsidary eCornell will prove to be a good choice and may be worth researching into.
In addition, it may be worth knowing also that according to the Canadian HR press, Cornell University's eCornell had a 92% completion rate in 2006, meaning that many of the students are motivated and clever enough to pass their courses and graduate with a certificate from eCornell. With an Ivy League degree from Cornell University, it may be wise to consider eCornell as a viable, reliable and good choice.
I would suggest going around to check out the other universities as well, but eCornell would be a first choice for me, as I had always wanted to study at Cornell University, if I were to go to the United States. My field is in Economics and Economic History, and the Business and Economics in Cornell University appeal to me, but that is my personal opinion. Don't take my word for it and please do further research. Look around my website and other sources as well.
